whats a "day pillar" and why is everyone sharing theirs like a name

i get sun signs. sort of get rising. half the posts here go "im a 辛酉 day pillar" like that means something to me is there a list? why chinese characters if its korean? is day master the same thing flatmates korean bf says id "get it" if i looked at mine and im too proud to ask him

    like a sun sign but 60 instead of 12, based on your birth DAY not month. characters are classical chinese, korea uses the same ones. day master = first character of your day pillar, the element thats "you". put your bday in the calculator
