What this site does
Enter your birth date and time and My Saju builds the four pillars (year, month, day, hour), lays them out as a chart, and turns the traditional interpretation rules into a reading covering temperament, relationships, career, wealth and health.
The chart, the core reading, compatibility, date selection and the 60 day-pillar guides are all free and need no account. Signing in is required only to post in the community.
How the chart is calculated
The calendar alone is not enough, so the site follows the rules the tradition actually uses.
- The month pillar follows the 24 solar terms, not the first day of the calendar month.
- Late-night births are handled with the 夜子時 rule: after 23:00 the day pillar rolls over to the next day.
- Hidden stems inside each branch, the twelve life stages, void branches and the classical stars are all expanded.
- The strength of the day master is weighed with the month branch counted heaviest, which decides strong or weak and which element is chosen to balance the chart.
- Luck pillars run forward or backward by the yang-male / yin-female rule, and yearly and monthly cycles are shown alongside them.
How the readings are written
Each sentence comes from interpretation rules written in advance and assembled to match your chart. Nothing is drawn at random, so the same chart always produces the same reading.
The calculations are covered by an automated test suite. If a result still looks wrong, please tell us through the contact page and we will check it.
Accuracy and limits
Saju is not a scientifically validated discipline. Everything here is a summary of traditional interpretation offered as entertainment and reference, and must not be used as the basis for medical, legal, financial or investment decisions.
If the birth time is unknown the chart is built from three pillars instead of four. You still get a reading, but a narrower one.
How the site is run
This site is built and run by one individual. Everything on it is free; server and domain costs are covered by the ads on the pages alone.
Ads are placed only where they are clearly separated from the content, and no advertiser changes what a reading says.
