How it's calculated
We calculate each person's Four Pillars chart using the traditional Manseryeok method, then combine the Five Elements relationship (generating / same / controlling) between the two Day Masters with how each person appears as a Ten God to the other, to produce a compatibility grade and score.

If friendship compatibility is low, is it hard to become close?
No. A low score usually means 'different styles', not 'incompatible'. Many friendships are richer precisely because of the differences. See the result's advice on managing distance.
Can I check friendship compatibility without birth times?
Yes. Compatibility centres on the Day Master of the birth day, so it works without the hour. Without the hour pillar some items, like element balance, are slightly less precise, and the result page says so.
